Millions of Canadians are struggling to put food on the table.

Second Harvest rescues quality surplus food from a variety of donors and delivers it, direct and free of charge, to incredible charities that can make use of it to support those in need.

Every dollar donated helps us provide enough food to make two nutritious meals to vulnerable Canadians.

Food waste is a real issue in our country. Thanks to innovative program like yours, small organisations like ours have the chance to give a second life to food that would have been otherwise going to the landfill.

Until we joined, our evening drop-in served only coffee and snacks (sometimes just crackers). Thanks to Second Harvest we are now able to serve all our drop-in guests a full hot meal. For many of them, it may be their only meal of the day.
